Jackie Bezos, Mother of Jeff Bezos, Passes Away at 78

Jackie Bezos, the mother of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, has died at the age of 78.

She passed away on August 14 at her home in Miami. The Bezos Family Foundation confirmed her death in an official statement. The news has brought deep sadness to her family and friends.

She had been battling Lewy Body Dementia for several years. This disease affects thinking, movement, mood, and behaviour. In her final moments, she was surrounded by her husband, Mike Bezos; her three children; eleven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Her family supported her with love and care until the end.

Jeff Bezos paid a heartfelt tribute to his mother on Instagram. He recalled that she became a mother at just 17 years old. He praised her strength and sacrifices in raising her children. Jeff said she always put family first without compromise.

He described her as a remarkable woman who spread love endlessly. Jeff said her “circle of love never stopped” throughout her life. He remembered her as a devoted mother who gave boundless affection to her family.
